Terms of Service
The rules for using unnur. We've kept them as short and plain as we can.
1. Your agreement
By creating an account or using unnur, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old to use unnur
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure
- You agree to provide accurate information when registering
- One person, one account
3. Acceptable use
Don't:
- Use unnur to break the law
- Try to access other people's accounts or data
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app
- Interfere with or disrupt the service or its servers
- Use unnur to harass, abuse or harm another person
4. Your content
What you own. Sessions, spots, photos, and notes you create in unnur belong to you. By using unnur you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, process, and display this content as needed to provide and operate the service, develop new features, and improve unnur.
Privacy by default. Sessions, spots, photos, and notes are private to your account by default and are not visible to other users. If we add features that allow users to share content with others (such as friends, leaderboards, or community spots), those features will be opt-in — you'll choose what to share and with whom.
Your responsibility. You are responsible for the content you create. Don't upload anything you don't have the right to share.
5. Safety disclaimer
Surfing is dangerous. unnur is a logging tool, not a safety system. The conditions data we display is fetched from third-party forecast providers and may be inaccurate, delayed, or simply wrong. Always check current local conditions before entering the water and never rely on unnur to make a decision about whether it is safe to surf.
You surf at your own risk.
6. Availability and changes
We try to keep unnur running smoothly, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service. We may add, change, or remove features from time to time.
We may also update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll give you reasonable notice — for example through an in-app message, email, or a notice on our website — before they take effect. Your continued use of unnur after the changes means you accept the updated terms.
7. Termination
You can stop using unnur and delete your account at any time from the app's settings. We can suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms.
If your account is terminated, your data will be deleted within 30 days, except where we are required to keep it by law.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, unnur is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the app.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Iceland. Any dispute will be settled in the courts of Reykjavík.
10. Severability
If any part of these terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue in effect.
